Swara Bhaskar has no problem with gaining weight for her next role.
The Raanjhanaa actress, who is currently shooting for Nil…, directed by Ashwiny Iyer, has been asked to gain weight because she looks too young for the role of a mother of a teenager.
“I am a happy foodie and I am glad for this guilt-free binging opportunity. The chef at the hotel in Agra where I am staying, runs an excellent kitchen and I am thoroughly enjoying all the amazing cuisine on the menu,” the actress said in a recent statement.
Asked what she will do after the movie, she replied: “I don’t know, crash diet I guess! I have to start shooting for Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo after this. I need to be back in a slim avatar. I guess I’ll have to starve myself the day I stop shooting this film (Nil…),” she quipped. #BollyTalks will keep you posted on Bhaskar’s film preparations.
This next lady defied Bollywood stereotypes and would be honoured long past her recent death for an illustrious career. Zohra Sehgal passed away last Thursday at the age of 102. Known as a Bollywood diva, her career spanned decades in cinema and theatre. The Padma Vibhushan awardee died at Max hospital at around 4.30 pm.
“She was admitted yesterday and diagnosed with pneumonia. A heart patient, she suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away,” a senior doctor at the hospital said.
“She was unwell for last three-four days,” daughter Kiran told PTI. The news was broken in the night by historian Irfan Habib who tweeted, “Just confirmed that Zohra Aapa is no more…”.
The “vivacious personality” that was Zohra Sehgal, who started her career as a dancer with Uday Shankar in 1935, will be mourned for years to come.
