Panorama CD released

The official Panorama 2014 CD compilation is completed and on sale. The three-disc set is the collection of the steelband finalists recaptured as they performed their selections at the National Panorama Finals. It features 27 tracks including six bonus tracks. On CD1 is CAL Invaders, NLCB Fonclaire, NGC La Brea Nightingales, Witco Desperadoes, T&TEC Tropical Angel Harps, Republic Bank Exodus, PCS Nitrogen, Skiffle and Neal & Massy Trinidad All Stars.

 

CD2 features Petrotrin Phase II Pan Groove, bpTT Renegades, Melodians, Carib Dixieland, NGC Steel Xplosion, Pan Elders, Valley Harps, Petrotrin Katzenjammers and NGC Couva Joylanders. CD3 contains Courts Sound Specialists of Laventille, Arima Angel Harps and NLCB Buccooneers, as well as the bonus tracks. The latter comprises the first three-placed bands in the Small Conventional Band category, ie, Super Novas, Petrotrin Siparia Deltones, Crescendoes and joint winners San Juan East Side Symphony and Pan Jammers and runner-up T&T Fire Services, in the Single Pan Band class.

 

Panorama 2014—Celebrating the Evolution of Pan was recorded “live” at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain, and at Skinner Park, San Fernando, by Yochi Watanabe and Katsmari “Kats” Imai and assisted by the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) Academy for the Performing Arts music technology class of 2012. The limited first edition CD set is available at most of the major music stores, including Cleve’s One Stop Music Shop, Frederick Street, Port-of-Spain; Crosby’s Music Centre, Western Main Road, St James; Kam’s Record Store, Long Circular Mall; and Sanch Electronics, King Street, St Joseph.

 

The DVD of the Single Pan and Small Bands finals which is soon-to-be released is recorded, mixed, mastered and produced by KMP Music Lab, San Fernando.
