MovieTowne Trinbago Kids Got Talent Summer Progamme reached its climax after six weeks of showcasing the best of T&T’s young talent. The winners were crowned last Sunday at the All Star Finals at Fiesta Plaza, MovieTowne, and its valued sponsors hosted the talent competition with the goal of providing a platform for children to display their talents and boost their confidence. In all, five exciting talent competitions were staged for young and talented artistes eight–14 years old, who came from all parts of T&T. One show was held in Tobago, where three winners were crowned, and the other four shows were held in Trinidad, with three preliminary shows. More than 60 contestants participated in the preliminary rounds of the competition and 15 moved forward to compete for winners row in the grand finals.

Heathcliff West, Fiesta Plaza entertainment manager, said: “The standard of the competition this year was exceptional and the level of talent exhibited was inspiring for the future of the arts in T&T. Our panel of professional and celebrity judges had a tough time picking the six winners in the All Star Finals.” The All Star Show showcased performances from 15 finalists. The panel of judges was Eric Butler, Johann Chuckaree and Michelle Xaviee. After intense deliberation, the winners were finally announced and presented with their prize packages, worth over $60,000.
